DKP and how we do it!

In the spirit of preparing for raiding in Wrath we have decided to make some
changes to the DKP system. The changes aren't set in stone, and are subject
to change at any time, etc. etc. Read Blizzard's Terms of Service, and apply
that to this. If you have any questions or suggestions please post them
in the appropriate thread in the Policy Forums.

The current plan is to use a Standard Income Bidding DKP System. What does
this mean? DKP will be awarded a variety of ways, and will be spent in auction
form. DKP can be earned from doing many different things outside of raiding,
including helping other guild members on group quests and donating to the
guild bank.

Following is a dynamic list of what can be done to earn DKP. It is not
complete, and may change in its entirety at any given point in time:

1 DKP........Signing up, showing up and being repaired for a Raid.
10 DKP.......Being present for a Guild First Raid Boss kill.
5 DKP........Being present for repeating a Raid Boss Kill.
1/2 Boss Value.....Leaving the raid for a boss kill so a needed class
Value.......can be brought in to make the kill if necessary.**
Variable.....Depositing Trade Materials into the Guild Bank. ++


Key:
** If the Guild is hung up on downing a boss and needs a different spec/
class to fill in, you will be awarded half of the Boss Kill DKP if
the boss is downed. If it is a first kill, you will receive 5 DKP;
otherwise you will earn 3 DKP.

++ Not all Mats are Created Equal, unfortunately. Some mats are way
harder to find than others, so the more rare the mats, the more DKP
will be awarded, at the discretion of the Officers.




We will be keeping the same DKP costs for Raid Loot.

As of 14th of April 2009, the DKP cap is 300.


Starting Bid.....Item Description

5 DKP........All Trash Epics
Guild........BoE Blues/Epics will be put in the Guild Bank, as will Trade
.Bank........Profession Materials and Raw Gems.


So now that you have a list of the Rewards and Starting Bids, what do you
do with them? Following is a Flow Chart of how Loot is distributed. If you
fail to follow loot distribution protocol, your bid will not be counted.


1) If you are interested in the item, Link your item in Raid Chat.
2) After everybody has linked, Whisper your bid to the Loot Master.
3) The round will end and Bids will be assessed. The Top Bid for that
round will be announced for that round, and another round will start.
4) If you would like to bid more, whisper your new high bid to the
Loot Master.
5) This process repeats until a winner is declared.
6) If many want the item and all are willing to max their DKP, there will be a roll off to determine who gets it. The winner losing their maxed DKP and the loser, keeping theirs.
7) The next item is up for auction, and the process repeats until all loot
has been distributed.

You will only be allowed to win on One Epic per night, unless there
is no competition for an item that you can use. Please note that
Profession Recipes do not count toward this limit.

During loot distribution, do not send fake bids, do not link your item as
a joke, and do not do anything that would, in general, prolong the distribution
of loot. Doing so will likely result in your removal from the Raid Group.
