Specialists

As you might have noticed, there are currently no guild members at the Specialist rank. We are turning this into an applied for position, with certain responsibilities and certain bonuses. Here is what you can expect as a Specialist:

Duties
-Assisting New Members

-The officers go over the gear and application of every incoming member. The specialist would help us by going over the gear, spec, and rotation (if applicable) with a fine toothed comb.
- You will be responsible for announcing them “raid ready.” Without your seal of approval, they’re on the bench until they are ready.
- If they have any questions about our raiding procedures, point them to where they can find the info in our forums. If it’s a more specific question, send them to an officer.

-Assisting in 10s or 25s. Possible applications of this would be:

-Handling loot – most of the officers are tanks, healers, or important CC, so having us handle the loot slows down the raids considerably.
-Handling DKP – See above.
-Raid leading – with the new guild 10 mans on Monday nights until ICC, there might not be an officer in one of the groups. If not, specialists would be asked to lead their 10 man.

-Forum participation – We try to cover as much relevant info on the forums as possible, but we are fallible and if we miss something, we hope that you would be there to help us out by posting useful stuff we may have missed!

-Go-between for Legionnaires and Officers – We always welcome anyone and everyone to come to us with their ideas or questions, but some members might be a little shyer around us than they would be around you. If anyone did come to you like this, we hope that you would discuss it discreetly with us, if they request it.


Requirements
-Applied for position – as I mentioned above, this is something you need to want and apply for.

-Send Bel or one of the officers a private message on the forums telling us why you think you should be a specialist and why you want to be a specialist
-I’m not asking for an essay, we just want to understand your reasoning.

-Qualities we are looking for:

-Dependability – high raid attendance is a plus
-Skill – If you want to help others with their class, you need to be good at your own first.
-Positive – I’m not saying you need to be a ra-ra cheerleader, but a positive attitude is a huge help in any situation.
-Involved - In raids, in the guild, on the forums.

-Monthly review – Specialists will be reviewed once a month to maintain their positions.

Specialists will be by CLASS.

There are bonuses for the position, which we’ll discuss with you after we receive your application.
